The Bookkeeper will be responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting operations of a small design firm made up of a 6-person team. The candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial & administrative records, preparing financial reports, and implementing financial controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background of experience in accounting for interior design or other creative industries, exceptional attention to detail, proficiency in financial prioritizing and strategizing, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The Bookkeeper should be both nimble and level-headed, a big-picture thinker, and an assured leader keen to direct finances at a growing creative firm.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as an Bookkeeper or similar role.
• Preferred working experience with an Interior Design firm or other small business in a creative field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with accounting software Design Manager or a willingness to be a proactive, independent learner to develop proficiency.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Sensitive, discrete, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
